ASA is Currently Hiring:



Software Engineer

ASA is currently looking for a Software Engineer with at least 4 years of experience to work primarily on our Environmental Data Server team. Eligible candidates will be responsible for maintenance of an existing C# service code base and for creation of new tools and services as required. The candidate will be working primarily with C#, with some work in Java.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years intensive experience working with C#
  • 4+ years experience in software design, development, integration and testing
  • Experience with SQL, HTML, XML, SOA in general
  • Strong experience in designing and developing object oriented technical solutions
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and within groups
  • Must be able to learn new skills quickly, independently
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience programming SilverLight a plus
  • Experience programming Java a plus
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be eligible for a Department of Defense Security Clearance



Entry-Level Software Developer

ASA, South Kingstown - RI, is currently seeking an entry (or intermediate-level) Programmer to work on global environmental projects.

The successful candidate will work with a growing team on cutting edge projects to integrate GIS, environmental data, and numerical models for thin and thick clients, primarily on Windows platforms. The candidate will be responsible for development of new Java and C# software as well as maintenance of existing software.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Java and/or C#
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Javascript, HTML, XML, IIS, Apache, SQL
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and within groups
  • Experience with Scientific data, GIS concepts and GIS/Geospatial applications a plus
