ASA's solid reputation as a services firm is due in large part to the suite of innovative environmental modeling and GIS tools that have been developed and are used exclusively by ASA's scientists and engineers.
ASA in-house software tools include:
BathyFusion Toolbox™ is both an ASA in-house tool and an ArcGIS® extension modeling module that enables fusion of disparate topographic or bathymetric data sources into a unified high-resolution data set.
Inundation Toolbox™ is a software system that connects storm surge model predictions to GIS mapping and analysis capabilities to generate maps of areas at risk to inundation from the predicted surge.
DREDGEMAP™ is a framework of sediment-related models from ASA’s in-house modeling software suite that includes SSFATE™, SSDOSE™, and CAPModel™.
SSFATE™ is an integrated system combining a Geographic Information System (GIS) with a computational model that predicts the transport, dispersion, and settling of suspended sediments released to the water column as a result of dredging operations.
SSDOSE™ calculates exposures of various aquatic organisms to sediment plumes resulting from dredging operations and analogous sediment releases. SSDOSE uses the output from SSFATE that includes concentration of suspended sediments as a function of space and time.
CAPModel™ is a simple tool for determining the volume of material required to effectively cap a dredge spoil mound.
TimeSlider Extension for ArcGIS provides functionality to animate GIS feature data that has date and time information within ESRI ArcGIS 9.1 & 9.2.
